WHO WE ARE

Not agents. Lettings specialists.

Our model is simple: we lease a property from a landlord on a three-to-five-year agreement, then let the rooms to working professionals — doing the hard work so the landlord doesn't have to.

For residents, it's communal London living done properly. Every property gets a flat-screen TV, free WiFi and a cleaner every week, taking away the usual hassle of arguing over who owes what for the heating.

HOW WE STARTED

Our story

The founders first crossed paths as estate-agency colleagues in 2004, then reconnected some years later while both were away from London. Comparing notes on what the property industry kept getting wrong, they hatched the idea for something better — a company built specifically around shared living for professionals, rather than treating it as a leftover corner of the lettings market.

London Shared was founded in 2007 on a simple premise: rent properties from landlords, provide well-run rooms to working professionals, and make co-living easy for everyone involved. Since then the team has grown considerably, but that original premise hasn't changed.
