Brixton

SW9 — South London

Area Guides / Brixton
SCROLL

Brixton changes fast, but it hasn't lost what makes it Brixton — the market halls, the music venues, the sense that something's always happening on the street outside. Brixton Village and Market Row pack in independent restaurants and small traders under Victorian arcades, and the energy rarely lets up.

It's one of the best-connected parts of South London, with the Victoria line putting the West End within about fifteen minutes, which is part of why it's held onto its appeal for professionals as much as its long-standing community.
